A word about children and the Internet:

We have all heard the horror stories about children interacting with the wrong element on the net. We have taken the time to review all kid sites as thoroughly as possible, however, as with any site, we strongly suggest parental viewing prior to child exposure.

Ask Jeeves for Kids - A "must see" for children, parents and teachers. This site allows children to ask questions and will search for matching answers.

The Discovery Channel - This wonderful site allows for education in the area of science that is both fun and interactive.

Disney - A "must see" for both kids and families. The activities are endless!

Homework.com - Assists kids in every subject.

Kids Domain - This wonderful site gives kids the opportunity to play games, learn to surf the web safely, download games and educational programs and much much more! They also have many links to other great kids sites on the web! A must see!

National Geographic - something for everyone including interactive geography tours! A must see.

Gamecenter - This popular site gives both kids and adults the opportunity to download freeware and shareware games along with demos. Check this site out prior to children viewing, some games may be more suited for older children.

Great Sites - Created by the American Library Association, this site supplies over 700 links to kid sites around the web that are safe, educational and fun.

KidsCom - This site gives kids the opportunity to find pen pals (registration and parent permission required), write stories, write the president and prime ministers, and much much more! At the time of viewing, this site was a little slow in loading. A great site for those with patience!

Seaworld/Busch Gardens - This site is dedicated to a child's education of the animal kingdom. Kids can learn about current news, view penquins and Orca, and much more!

Web Pages for Kids (Around the Federal Government) - This page from the Administration for Children and Families directs kids to sites just for them created by the government. Kids can learn about the White House, Justice Department, the environment, and much much more!

Yahoo's Links for Kids - Access hundreds of links for children directly from this location.
